OKX founder and CEO Star Xu has publicly defended the crypto exchange after Tron founder Justin Sun accused it of failing to act on a law enforcement request to freeze stolen funds following a recent hack of Tron\u2019s official X account.<\/p>\n
\u201cOKX also has consumers protection policy according to law, we can\u2019t freeze a customer\u2019s funds according to your personal X post or an oral communication. I think you should understand it as the CEO of HTX,\u201d Xu said<\/a> in an X post.<\/p>\n Xu said that the crypto exchange had not received any related correspondence through OKX\u2019s official channels. \u201cOur LE cooperation team just checked the email, including the spam box; we haven\u2019t received any request related with this case,\u201d Xu said.<\/p>\n Source: <\/em>Star Xu<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n In what is now an unavailable X post, but was screenshotted<\/a> by Xu, Sun had earlier claimed that OKX has not responded to a \u201cfreeze notice\u201d sent to its official email address from a \u201crelevant law enforcement agency.\u201d Sun said that he had no other way to contact OKX\u2019s compliance department.<\/p>\n \u201cThese stolen funds do not belong to me; I\u2019m acting to protect the community,\u201d Sun said. On May 3, Tron DAO told<\/a> its 1.7 million X followers that its account had been compromised.
