According to Zhao, the US was pressing other countries\u2019 hands by <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/us-government-bitcoin-national-reserve\" target=\"null\" title=\"null\">exploring its own policies<\/a> for a crypto reserve, but those in Europe didn\u2019t seem to be reacting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t see Europe in this discussion,\u201d said Zhao, highlighting one exception. \u201cMontenegro is actually quite pro-crypto. We had an active dialogue with [the] prime minister there, and he\u2019s a very forward-thinking person, leader. But other than Montenegro, I don\u2019t have any other, it\u2019s kind of missing on the map.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Zhao, who has a home in Dubai, <a href=\"https:\/\/cointelegraph.com\/news\/binance-ceo-plan-crypto-exchange\" target=\"null\" title=\"null\">resigned as Binance CEO<\/a> in November 2023 as part of a plea deal with US authorities pursuing charges against the exchange.
